Why we disclose this
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires that websites clearly and conspicuously disclose material relationships — including compensation — with the brands they cover. We think you deserve to know how we make money, and we believe transparent disclosure is a prerequisite to being useful.
Who we have affiliate relationships with
ClinicLayer participates in affiliate programs through multiple networks and direct arrangements:
- Katalys / RevOffers — our largest affiliate network; many listed clinics are accessed through this relationship.
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction)
- FlexOffers
- Impact.com
- Awin
- Direct affiliate arrangements with individual clinics.
Any clinic link on this site may be an affiliate link. Commission rates vary by clinic and by network, and we do not disclose individual commission amounts because those are governed by non-disclosure terms in our network agreements.
How commissions relate to list order
On our main comparison pages, the default "Recommended" order lists clinics we have a paying affiliate relationship with first, then every other clinic. Within each of those groups, clinics are ordered by our editorial value score. We disclose this on each page, and you can re-sort the full list by lowest annual cost or highest rating at any time.
Commission never changes a clinic's editorial score. The score — which weighs price transparency, true annual cost, lab inclusion, delivery and protocol options, and verified reviews — is calculated independently of any affiliate relationship. No clinic is removed or hidden: clinics with no affiliate relationship appear in the same list as partner clinics and keep their full company page and link.
See How we rank for the full scoring methodology.
Editor's Choice is a sponsored placement
Editor's Choice appears above the ranked list and is labeled "Sponsored." It is selected from clinics with an active affiliate relationship and competitive patient pricing. It is not the same as #1 on the ranked list and does not have a rank number. We do not promote a clinic as Editor's Choice if we do not believe it represents genuine value for patients.
Promo codes
Promo codes listed on ClinicLayer are typically affiliate-tagged: when you use one, the clinic attributes the order to ClinicLayer and we may earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay — in most cases, the promo code delivers a discount to you and pays us a commission. Each promo code on the site is shown with a disclosure reminder directly next to the code.
What we don't do
- We don't sell scores. No clinic can pay us to raise its editorial score. The default order does place partner clinics first — we disclose that on-page, and every list re-sorts by price or rating.
- We don't hide the disclosure. Every promo code ships with an inline commission disclosure, the site footer carries an affiliate notice, and affiliate outbound links use
rel="sponsored". - We don't make medical recommendations. ClinicLayer is a price comparison and information site, not a medical provider. See our Terms of Use and the medical disclaimer on every content page.
